Anita Harris Work Experience
Anita Harris was head designer at Poole Pottery for ten years before taking up a position at Moorcroft to design for Cobridge Stoneware and Black Ryden.
Some of Anita's designs at Poole Pottery are still best selling designs today and many collectors have followed Anita from Poole.
After three years at Cobridge Stoneware sadly it had to close and Anita set up the Anita Harris Studio with Larry Ewin. The Studio is now known as Anita Harris Art Pottery and is no longer associated with Larry Ewin.
Anita Harris Education
Anita Harris, previously with Moorcroft's Cobridge Stoneware and Head of Design at Poole Pottery, has formed Anita Harris Art Pottery with Samantha Johnson. This is a dream team in the ceramics world as both artists are well known world wide and are artists in their own right . This is an exciting alliance as they both bring with them a host of glaze knowledge and painting skills.
Samantha graduated in Ceramics and 3D design from Wolverhampton University, before joining Moorcroft's Cobridge Stoneware and Black Ryden. It was here she met Anita and they both gained many avid collectors of their work. Her designs are well sought after, and "Coming Home" remains a best seller in the new setup.
Peter Harris has obviously inherited his mothers talent for design and innovation ,he will be freelancing at the studio in fact although working in a Ceramics productive environment he has shown that he has skills that are proving very useful in the application of glazes, spraying and air brushing.
Abstract Art plays a large part in Peters work as collectors are already lining up to purchase his work.
