About Paul Dunkerley
Self-taught (if you don't count the GCE Level in Sculpture) I have worked from my home studio in North Staffordshire for the past 8 years.
I have always struggled to refer to what I do as Art. My work is many things; a hobby, therapy, an escape route, but mostly an expression.
To be art it needs to have influenced or affected someone's senses, emotions or intellect in some way.
There are so many more techniques to learn, more imaginings to create and more connections to be made. So as for my artistic ambitions - to have my work valued and realise a personal blueprint, changing a vocation into a profession.

I have worked as a business consultant for much of the last 20 years and so have created my work as my schedule allows.
In 2010 I worked with Nick Brooks (lecturer at St. Martin's College of Arts and author of the best selling 'Casting & Mouldmaking') who encouraged me to exhibit my work further.
