About Tony Wild
Tony Wild was born in Burslem above the Burslem Park in 1941.
He has a long association with Burslem Art School, that goes back to the mid 1950s. He attended firstly their Saturday morning art class and then later as a full time art student in the late 1950s, until 1963/4. He then taught in schools in the City of Stoke on Trent, until 1972, and then as a lecturer at Staffordshire University until 1990, then as a part-time lecturer at Keele University whilst devoting more time to my own painting.
He was also one of the prime movers in reopening Burslem Art School after many years of neglect.
He also was a friend and colleague of Arthur Berry.
