Barewall Gallery in Burslem is hosting its first Anita Harris Art Pottery
signing and collectors event on Saturday 29th October, 10am till 4pm in
the run up to Christmas. This is a free event that welcomes existing
and new collectors to come along and see the exciting work produced by the
artists described as “The Clarice Cliff of The Future” by Eric
Knowles of the Antiques Roadshow.
Anita Harris, previously with Moorcroft`s Cobridge Stoneware and Head of Design
at Poole Pottery, formed Anita Harris Art Pottery with Samantha Johnson a fellow
designer whose background also includes Cobridge Stoneware and Black Ryden. Peter
Harris, Anita’s son is skilled in the application of glazes, spraying
and air brushing and has his own collectors for his unique abstract art.
Special one offs, trials and exhibition pieces will be available to view and
buy on the day as will many new pieces currently being designed in the studio. Anita,
Sam Johnson and Peter Harris will be demonstrating their unique skills as well
as signing pots on the day. Collectors are also welcome to bring along unsigned
pots to be signed by Anita and the team.
Barewall will be making this wonderful day into a festive event in the start
to a Christmas countdown making it a great change to get some early quality
Christmas presents from this unique and talented collectable art potters of
this day.
