Art lovers and Scots are invited to a special evening at Barewall art gallery
in Burslem to celebrate Burns Night on Wednesday 25th January 6pm till 8pm.
You will be welcomed by an exhibition of Scotland inspired work by local artists,
readings of Robert Burns work, a traditional warming Scottish tipple and romantic
Highland tune.
The event will see the unveiling of a spectacular Winter series of Highland
paintings by Rob Pointon who spent 3 weeks in sub zero temperature
isolated lodge, painting the Cairngorms in Scotland.
Barewall owner Amanda Bromley 43, who is half Scottish, says “It is
wonderful celebrating Burns Night in Burslem and this is a superb opportunity
to exhibit the beautiful work produced by our local artists who have each been
inspired by Scotland and the Highlands. I am sure they will be admired
by everyone including my fellow Scots.”
The Scotland inspired exhibition will run until Friday February 9th 2012.
