The Burslem Pottery Summer 2012 signing event is taking place 28th July between 10am and 4pm at the Barewall Studio, Market Place, Burslem, Stoke on Trent. This free event that welcomes existing and new collectors to come along and see the exciting work produced by artists Tracy Bentley and Stephen Shaw who model, draw, sgraffito and paint the beautiful ware produced by Burslem Pottery.
Visitors will have the chance to see a live demonstration by the artists Tracy and Stephen as they work on the new design for their heritage range, a hand drawn, sgraffito and hand painted tile depicting Newcastle under Lyme. The heritage range by Burslem Pottery is growing to include cities such as Liverpool and Chester, due to customer demand following the launch of the Six Towns range last year. Also, influenced by the heritage that surrounds Burslem Pottery a new limited edition tile will be launched at the event to celebrate author Arnold Bennett and his references to landmarks across ‘Bursley’ his alias for Burslem in some of his most popular works.
This special event will also be the official launch of ‘Chef Ramsey’ the new addition to the popular Grotesque Birds range. Visitors to the event can be the first to see the colour trials for the bird that is sure to be a hit will all collectors and cooks alike.
