Karl Burgess exhibits at Barewindow, Burslem
The latest artist to take the ‘Barewindow’ gallery space at 2-4 Market Place, Burslem, is Karl Burgess of Weston Coyney, Stoke on Trent..
I create my own bodies of work, which encompass a range of processes and skills. These include ceramics, sculpture, drawing, painting and furniture making. My work is influenced by a varied range of aspects which enable me to develop an artistic view of the world. such influences include every day happenings which are found in the ever increasing information that we are fed through the 24 hour news environment in which we live.
Karl Burgess previously exhibited his work in galleries in London and was almost a featured peice in Jarvis Cocker's art collection however Jarvis decided to buy a fridge instead. just another anecdote of Karls whimsical dry humour which plays a key role in his art work. The Karl Burgess ‘Barewindow’ exhibition is running until 6th May, 2-4 Market Place, Burslem, Stoke on Trent.
