Anthony Forster (b. 1941)
Stoke on Trent born artist Anthony Forster works primarily in watercolour and oils. He trained at The Burslem School of Art later working at Royal Doulton in Nile St. Burslem, Stoke on Trent, 1959-1967 as a ceramic artist in the highly respected Royal Doulton flambe studio, he also participated in their Art Society, where he showed regularly in the annual exhibition often being among the prize winners. His first solo show was at The Hood and Broomfield gallery in The Potteries in 1984 and was opened by Sir Richard Bailey CBE, who was at that time the chairman of Royal Doulton.
