The Barewindow project commences September 2009 and is planned to run for 6 months. The Barewindow is a new and exciting exhibition concept to utilize under used shop windows to bring art to town and city centers. 2-4 Market Place, Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent is the base for the online gallery Barewall so an ideal place to spearhead the initiative. Artists can exhibit and sell their work from the Barewindow and the Barewall.co.uk gallery.

What Is It?

The corner window is made up of two large pains. It is a white space, complete with top down and bottom up directional lighting and heating.

Where Is It?

  • It is located in Burslem, Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire, West Midlands, United Kingdom. The postcode is ST6 4AT.
  • It overlooks the Market Place which is a large square with seating.
  • It is overlooked by The Queens Theatre, The Old Post Office Gallery and The Old Burslem Town Hall (Ceramica)..
  • It is adjacent to RoyalStafford and Poole Pottery factories.
  • It is behind Ceramica housed in the Old Burslem Town Hall.

What is the Building Like?

Who is Organising It?

The Barewall team will be allocating the slots in the 'Barewindow' for a period of 6 months with the idea of helping artists to sell their work both via Barewindow (within the shop itself) and Barewall.co.uk. We aim to catalogue the window space and add this to Barewall.co.uk. Barewall is owned and managed by Jellifish Internet Services Ltd an accredited and award winning web team with a wealth of ecommerce, sales and marketing experience.

Who is Funding This?

This project is privately funded by Jellifish Internet Services Ltd and Barewall.
