Techno Monkey
by Karl Burgess
Techno Monkey is a comment of the pace of life in which we live today, a non stop tread-mill, continually moving until you frazzle out. I liken this piece of work to a shrunken tribal head, or a wall hung animal trophy. Another member of the human race 'bagged' by the frantic lifestyle we lead.
Sculptural ceramic and mixed media with acrylics.
Very striking wall hanging composed of ceramic, steel, and base with varied pattern of tiles and mosaics on resin.
The piece is a solid item with an extra strong loop hanger to the top of the back base.

King of The Toe Heads
by Karl Burgess
Toe Head is an Australian term for some body with very blonde hair, as I had when I was younger. This piece is a sort of self portrait (which fortunately doesn't look like me) where I have literally turned into a 'Toe Head'. The ravages of work have turned my head into a giant toe, and my hair into a blonded Keyboard. The keyboard represents our new aim in life, to pound out paperwork, and grind out the bureaucracy of every day life.
Sculptural ceramic and mixed media with acrylics. Very comical figurative art work on decorative plinth base with varied pattern of tiles and mosaics in resin.

King of The Nipple Heads
by Karl Burgess
Behold 'The King of the Nipple Heads'. Who knows where he lives? I don't! I think he lives in London, he may live in your 'constituency'. I know he makes plenty of money and 'perks' by being a 'politician'. He's sometimes on question time, waffles a bit, has a bad hair style, doesn't seem to know much about normal everyday life, may even live in a parallel universe where ducks need £1000 floating retreats.
As all I know is, he truly is worthy of the title 'King of the Nipple Heads'.
Sculptural ceramic and mixed media with acrylics. Very comical figurative art work on decorative plinth base with varied pattern of tiles in resin.

Billy Big Balls Rides Again
by Karl Burgess
We all know Billy Big Balls, he's that man propping up the end of every bar at some point in time. If you've done something, he's done it better, if you've made some money, he's made more, if you've got something, he has to, but bigger. If you watch his mouth though, you'll realize its all 'pork pies'.
Sculptural ceramic and mixed media with acrylics. Very comical figurative art work on decorative plinth base with varied pattern of tiles and mosaics in resin.
