Poppy Shimmer

About the work

A highly textured picture of field side poppies which I created using a variety of media including paper, acrylics, oil pastels and beads. I've used opal dust on the poppies to give a shimmering effect. The whole picture has been thoroughly sprayed with matt varnish and the poppies have been gloss varnished to further enhance the shimmering effect. The edges of the canvas have been painted a dark navy blue and one of the sides has been signed. This canvas comes ready to hang and would make an eye catching addition to any wall.
