Arthur Berry exhibition to be visited by The Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport end of September An Exhibition of Unseen Works from Estate of Arthur Berry hosted at The Foxlowe Arts Centre​ in Leek from 1st October to 12th November 2016. Antiques Roadshow appraise Arthur Berry painting on BBC 25/4/2016

We were delighted to view tonight's episode of the BBC's Antiques Roadshow filmed at Trentham Gardens at the end of last summer 2015 when an original mixed media painting by Arthur Berry entitled "The Unemployables" was appraised. The expert described "Berry as someone who was to the Potteries as The PitMen painters are to Durham or Lowry to Salford. He said that Stoke on Trent had such an artist in Arthur Berry". Slabbing and Rolling Workshop with Andrew Matheson RBSA 11th - 12th April 2016

Andrew Matheson RBSA and member of the Midlands Potters Association (MPA) will be at Middleport Pottery from 11th to the 12th April 2016 demonstrating the making of his tree structure ceramic sculptures which will be available to buy at the gallery in the coming weeks. The workshop takes place over 2 days when he will go through the tips of slab constructing a structure which can be sculptured and withstand the firing and glazing sharing many tricks he has learnt over his 30 years potting. Meet The Potter : Jo Connell 7th April 2016

We were delighted to meet eminent potter and Midland Potters Association member Jo Connell at The Princes Gallery, Middleport Pottery on the 7th April 2016. Jo turned up with coloured clay and tools, templates and shapes in hand to perform a fantastic and magical display of her hand building clay form techniques which was enjoyed by a rather inquisitive Home and Gardens readers afternoon tea and tour which just happened to be visting on the same day.
