Arthur Berry paintings sells for £2,500 to raise money for heart and circulatory disease

We are delighted to announce that the British Heart Foundation have become beneficiaries of the sale of an original mixed media drawing by Arthur Berry, which sold to a buyer for £2500 including framing. The work titled ‘Chapel’ by Arthur Berry, dated1990 is a work rooted in the culture, people and landscape of the industrial pottery town of Burslem. It has been sold to a private individual having been kindly donated to Barewall Art Gallery from the estate of the Sheffield born sculptor George Fullard. Fresh from winning the Art Critic award at The Royal Institute of Watercolourists show at the Mall Galleries in April 2018, Geoffrey Wynne RI sold 4 out of his 5 paintings on display. The award was for a series of three large watercolour paintings deeply personal to Geoffrey relating to his North Staffordshire mining roots called "Written in Dust".
