Harper Street project in Middleport, Burslem Stoke on Trent is a group of derelict terraces which is currently being renovated by the the Re-form Heritage based at Middleport Pottery.

The painting sees Peter revisit the subject of boarded up terraces that were originally built for the workers at Middleport Pottery. These houses are now in 2021 being regenerated by Re-form Heritage, formally the Princes Regeneration Trust.

The door number of Harper Street is 101 - hinting at the potential nightmare of the danger of urban decay. 101 is the door number of the room which is full of your dreaded fears sited in George Orwell's 1984 Peter often picks out painted designs mostly being urban art in a city setting. He also offers a sign of hope with youth and technology placed in the scene as you see here with a teenager on her phone comfortably sitting on the red brick step of 101 and her feet placed on a skateboard. This self propelled green form of transport.
