It is likely to be one in one of the four counties where Harold Bennett lived; Staffordshire, Shropshire, Cheshire or Derbyshire. It shows a quiet time with little activity and no cars which may have been artistic licence. A couple stop to talk on the street with a push bike. The watercolour is by Harold Bennett. c. 1940s. Framed in stained walnut like wood square thin edged frame with mount under glass. This painting was framed in Palma, Mallorca, Spain at some point.
