Coda is term / label I employ for art containing mosyly old piano components sourced from pre Ww2 pianos and organs.
As an assemblage artist I'm inspired by the materials I use which are my initial impetus. I study and get familiar with the materials which to some extract dictate what I am going to make with them. Each piano has it's own personality.
The pianos I work with were made by family business spanning three generations
The pianos constructed with hyde glue makes disassembly possible. Each of the antique pianos are made of 1000s of components representing many hours of work.
