Born in the Potteries in 1968, Nick Moore has fond childhood memories of being surrounded by his father’s paintings and sketches and their ever-progressing style. David Moore, Des. RCA now resides in St Ives, Cornwall. He’s a successful international artist and member of the Penwith Society. His abstract style Is influenced by his Potteries roots, his time spent with local artists, such as Arthur Berry, and Cornish landscape structures.
Nick having studied printing and graphics at South Manchester College, Nick spent over 25 years as a traditional printer and the later 15 years as a graphic designer.
In 2017 he picked up his brushes with a purpose and immersed himself in the study of art, with a focus on portraiture, contemporary artists and attending exhibitions and private collections at home and abroad.
Currently inspired by contemporary regional artists, influenced by 20th and 21st century impressionistic and figurative painters and striving for ever more efficient mark-making, Nick’s style evolves year-by-year.
