Etruria is a place in Stoke on Trent which came into existence when Josiah Wedgwood moved his factory from Burslem to a location on the newly built Trent and Mersey Canal. He called the place Etruria after the Etruscian Vase which he made at the opening of his new factory. He also moved his family to Etruria Hall which still exists and is now a hotel in Stoke on Trent.
