Framed and double mounted in an original frame from 1937 with exhibition labels to verso.

This painting would have been created when Gordon Forsyth was principal at Burslem School of Art, Stoke on Trent.

It is also interesting that Gordon Forsyth's daughter Moira Forsyth, a glass and ceramic artist was commissioned to make one of the stained glass windows at Norwich Cathedral, this commission was completed in 1963. It shows a long standing connection to Norwich and Norfolk for the Forsyth family.
