The annual Three Counties Open Art Exhibition is for the first year being held at the Burslem School of Art. Over the yearsthe exhibition has developed into a highlight of the annual calendar of events at Keele University, the University was offered the exciting opportunity to develop the exhibition further by moving it to a building with historical significance and working in partnership with local organisations including Burslem School of Art Trust, Barewall and City Learning Trust.
Burslem School of Art was once the powerhouse in developing world renowned artistic talent within the Potteries with notable alumni including Arthur Berry, Clarice Cliff, and Susie Cooper. This Grade II listed building is in the heart of Burslem, with strong cultural connections and development opportunities. Kerry Jones, arts development officer at Keele University said "The Three Counties Art Exhibition is a great opportunity to develop this popular exhibition with new partners in such a beautiful building with historical significance."
