Original painting of the carving of the month of August which sits below the mosaic of Virgo the Virgin or the Maiden on the frontage of the Grade II* listed Wedgwood Institute in Queen St in Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent by Ronnie Cruwys.

It is an original artwork, in hand-made paint with natural earth pigment painted onto 600gsm acid-free watercolour paper.

Size of artwork 6in x 6in and the overall size in its mount is 12in x 12in.

Each artwork includes a signed certificate of authenticity attached to the back of each artwork.

This is the first of the series of twelve paintings of the huge terracotta tile relief carvings which form part of the frontage of the Wedgwood Institute building in Burslem. The terracotta reliefs were designed by Robert Edgar and John Lockwood Kipling (Rudyard Kipling's father).
