Paul Clarke was included in the Staffordshire Society of Artists 1960 Jubilee Exhibition at the Hanley Museum & art gallery which is now known as the The Potteries Museum and Art Gallery in Stoke on Trent.
The scene shows a bustling Brickhouse Street towards Cox's Entry looking towards Burslem Town Hall clock tower and the angel ontop starting from the corner of The Wedgwood Institute and opposite the Burslem School of Art.
The work is in its original 20th century frame, undated although labels on the back suggest pre 1972.
