Large hand thrown jug with hand painted copper lustre decoration of stylished leaves, checkered neck and wave pattern for Grimwades.
Hand painted and signed to the base by Gordon Forsyth.
The jug was made at the Royal Winton pottery and was made between 1934 and 1945 when Gordon Forsyth was superintendant of Art education for Stoke on Trent overseeing multiple art schools at the time.
Size: 10.25" x 8" or 26cm x 20cm.
Made at Grimwades factory in Stoke-on-Trent 1934 to 1945.
