Large hand thrown vase decorated with copper lustre on lemon glaze signed Gordon Forsyth
Large hand thrown vase with hand painted copper lustre decoration of stylished leaves, celtic weave design to the neck and inverted wave pattern.
The pot is hand painted and signed to the base by Gordon Forsyth.
Although the base has no mark it is likely that the pot was made at the Royal Winton pottery between 1934 and 1945 when Gordon Forsyth was super-intendant of art education for Stoke on Trent overseeing multiple art schools at the time.
Size: 10.5" x 7.5" or 27cm x 18cm.
Provenance: Signed with the mark made by Gordon Forsyth in copper lustre to the base of the vase.
