A wonderful bright and lively rendering of the Manchester city centre showing the shadow play with its tall buildings and skyscrapers reaching into the sky above, painted from sketches taken by Ian when travelling on the train to and from Manchester.

Manchester, England is one of the most vibrant cities in the UK. It is made up of mainly a commercial centre with historic converted Victorian buildings many of which are made into luxury city centre living residential buildings, a number of iconic high rise building litter the skyline designed by leading architects. Manchester's 21st century regeneration and its changing skyline is one which Ian Mood finds inspiring and deserving to be captured.
