Middleport Pottery is a Victorian working Pot Bank factory, canal side which houses the pottery company Burleigh Pottery. Middleport is also a tourist attraction, with cafe shops, pottery tours a museum and a college called Clay College which is training the potters of the future with a studio pottery ceramics gallery. Basically go there it is great and only 5 minutes away from Barewall Art Gallery.

This painting is included in the catalogue accompanying the exhibition 'Common Ground', an exhibition which took place in 2018 in the Arthur Berry room at the Burslem School of Art, Queen Street, Stoke-on-Trent of paintings by Ian Mood alongside images by his grandfather, Stoke based artist Sid Meir.
