This artwork illustrates the early days of the English Seaside, one of my favourite subjects.  Two young women dressed in sailor suits relates to The Royal Navy at the height of its power. The Royal Navy theme continues with the wax crayon wrappings and the two hanging devices made of the sailors suits back flap fabric.  the women's shoe-tree-ends are used to lock the glass in place. Sailors Ahoy - don't get your feet wet!
