Traveling throughout England over the last several years has shaped Heather's characterful ceramics. From discovering woodcut artists like Eric Ravilious during time spent in Eastbourne, to being immersed in the prolific ceramic history of Stoke-on-Trent; as a life-long Anglophile she finds the UK an endless source of inspiration. Heather's ceramics are a collection of altered classical forms decorated with mixed patterns and contemporary colour palettes referencing English country house decorating style. Illustrative characters are stamped from linoleum or carved with bold, graphic linework, exploring British Cultural iconography.
Christopher Pigeon is an ode to the under appreciated little city bird- as well as the bold, charming, linocuts of Christopher Brown.
