An original watercolour by Harold Bennett titled "Four Bottle Kilns Canalside" by Harold Bennett.

This painting is part of the seven bottle kilns known as the Seven Sisters, located within the old Meakins Factory in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, which is now the home of the quintessentially British tableware brand Emma Bridgewater. Her spongeware designs on earthenware pottery are iconic and produced in the Potteries. The location of the painting was identified with thanks to followers of the Potteries Picture Book of Past & Present Facebook group.

An original nineteen thirties watercolour by Harold Bennett.

On 1930s high-quality watercolour paper, which has a lovely tone to it, providing the tonal quality of the period. The early paper is no longer available, providing wonderful period quality to the painting.
