Painted during a visit to Venice in 2026 during the carnival season, this luminous watercolour captures the iconic basilica of Santa Maria della Salute in brilliant winter light. One of a series of Venetian works made on location, it showcases Geoffrey Wynne's mastery of atmosphere, reflection, and the particular quality of light that has drawn painters to Venice for centuries.
