Andy Edwards (b.1964)

Andy Edwards is a sculptor of international note, born and raised in the historic heart of the Potteries. He is celebrated for developing and sculpting large-scale, monumental public art of the highest calibre, with works standing in prominent locations across the globe.

A Legacy of Global Monuments

Edwards’ work captures the most defining people and moments in world history. His sculptures have been presented to and unveiled by some of the world’s most influential figures, including President Barack Obama, The Prince and Princess of Wales (formerly the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge), Archbishop Desmond Tutu, The Princess Royal, and The Earl of Wessex.

His portfolio includes legendary tributes to icons such as Muhammad Ali, Pelé, and the world-famous Beatles statues on Liverpool’s Pier Head.

Recent Works: The Queen and Lemmy (2025)

In 2025, Andy Edwards’ contribution to British public art reached new heights. His most recent commissions include a poignant statue of HM Queen Elizabeth II and the now-iconic statue of Lemmy (Motörhead), which was unveiled in Burslem on 9 May 2025. These works continue his tradition of blending technical mastery with deep emotional resonance.

In March 2023, Andy shared insights into his life and creative process during a sell-out talk hosted by Barewall at the Lunar Restaurant, World of Wedgwood, in Barlaston, Staffordshire.
