Nick Degg takes his inspiration from the wrung-out dishcloths of everyday life: childhood memories, working-class grit, and the particular texture of growing up in the Potteries. His poetry is direct, funny, and quietly devastating — as he puts it himself: "It's like poetry, but without the boring bits."
Both books were launched in December 2024 at Newcastle Library and are available from Barewall Art Gallery and Heritage Art Gallery and Bookshop at Middleport Pottery.
