Clarice Cliff Bizarreware Ceramic Plates designed by Gordon Forsyth c1934 made for a special Clarice Cliff Harrods display and exhibition.

Sizes 26cm x 21cm and 23cm x 19cm

All of the plates featured a similar rectangle shape and all were hand painted made and painted at the Clarice Cliff factory Middleport, Burslem, Stoke on Trent.

This is a unique opportunity to acquire pieces from this rare and outstanding exhibition of ceramics made by Clarice. It shows what a unique business woman Clarice Cliff was to capture the hearts of the best of the designers and artists and the most famous and prestigious department store of royal warrant Harrods. 

The very special exhibition included collaborations with many of the top artists and designers of the time all made and hand painted by the Clarice Cliff and her Bizarre girls, made at her Middlport, Burslem factory by the canal in Stoke-on-Trent.
