20th century original oil painting circa 1950's by Derek Higginson, member of The Group of Ten who were active around North Staffordshire from 1950's onwards.
The reverse includes a second painting of gardeners working on a back cottage garden overlooking probably the rural Staffordshire Moorlands in the background.
The painting is stretched canvas from the 1950's on a wooden stretch frame, with hanging cord on the back, making it ready to hang.
Provenance: Originally Barewall art gallery exhibited this painting in 2017 and it came direct from the artist studio.
