Head for the Hills captures early summer at its most abundant. Soft blue-pink skies contrast with the lush greens and deep maroons of fully unfurled leaves, the landscape rich underfoot as longer evenings stretch the light across the hills. There is a quiet urgency in the title — an instinct to walk, to be out in it, to feel the season before it turns.
Developed from plein air sketches and notes made whilst walking in spring 2026, and completed in the studio in summer 2026. Finished with artist’s professional UV satin varnish and wax.
