Rob Pointon has been described as one of the most exciting young British oil painters producing today. Multi award winning and now being elected and invited to many of the art establishment societies, he was awarded Artist in Residence for Manchester Airport - the first of its kind in the UK. From 2016 to 2019 Rob will be travelling the world and bringing back his paintings to display at the airport for sale.
He is also considered to be one of the artists currently being collected by the Northern art collectors and shows in a number of galleries across the UK.
Originally from a village near to Stoke on Trent, Rob now lives in Crewe, Cheshire. Barewall are delighted to be working with Rob as a Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent gallery, one which have been supporting and promoting Rob's work since when he first set-up his easel painting the streets and buildings of Burslem in Stoke on Trent in 2006 aged 23.
Barewall is also housed in the building in Burslem which Rob Pointon lived and based himself during his early career (2006-7) and after "The Year of The Boat" exhibition (2013-2014).

Rob describes his work as: "Utilising multiple-point perspective Rob's works firmly locate the viewer within the scene. He paints solely on location, without a prescribed image that would stagnate the final result, working standing at full arms length of the easel which allows expressive, fluid brushwork. Observing a scene for several days highlights the transient life of a location, resulting in an animated final image."
