Large porcelain Banded vase Celadon pale blue green glaze c1935 for Bullers

Large Banded Porcelain Vase in Celadon Blue-Green Glaze, c.1935 — Bullers of Milton, Stoke-on-Trent

A beautifully made large porcelain vase produced by Bullers of Milton, Stoke-on-Trent, circa 1935. This slip-cast vase features broad ribbed ring decoration with an all-over celadon blue-green glaze — a subtle, refined design from the Art Deco period.

The piece appears in the Bullers catalogue described as Celadon blue-green with rings, catalogue reference J96/2 (the catalogue image is numbered J96/4). It was made during the period when Annie Potts was studio manager at Bullers, and reflects the influence of Wedgwood designs of the era.

There is no maker’s mark to the base beyond Bullers and the catalogue number — consistent with pieces made prior to the Agnete Hoy period, when studio marks were introduced.
