WHEN THE WIND BLOWS Series 2025 by Helen Boardman
When the Wind Blows is a series of paintings focused on the changing drama of the sky by British landscape Helen Boardman.
Horizons are mostly low.
Using a limited colour palette, the movement of the wind is referenced by its effect on nature and hopefully evokes a sense of being outdoors in the cooler months. Repeated landscape motifs include stone walls and weathered tracks.
Finished paintings and haiku developed from plein air work, sketches and saved sentences whilst out walking in the UK Landscape over the last couple of years.
Includes Plein air mounted paper studies and framed works produced by Helen in 2025.
