Edale Rainbow I 2026 by Helen Boardman

One of a small series of just three paintings, Edale Rainbow I captures the Peak District at its most luminous and fleeting. The Edale valley is a place of sudden weather — skies that shift from grey to gold in minutes, and rainbows that arc across the moorland with startling clarity. This painting holds that moment: vivid, transient, and deeply felt.

Developed from plein air sketches and saved thoughts made whilst walking in the Peak District, and completed in the studio in Spring 2026. Finished with artist's professional UV satin varnish and wax.

Part of a small Autumn series 2026.
