Edale Rainbow II 2026 by Helen Boardman

One of a small series of just three paintings, Edale Rainbow II is a companion piece exploring the same luminous moment in the Peak District — the Edale valley caught mid-weather, where skies shift from grey to gold in minutes and rainbows arc across the moorland with startling clarity. Each painting in the series holds that moment differently: vivid, transient, and deeply felt.

Developed from plein air sketches and saved thoughts made whilst walking in the Peak District, and completed in the studio in Spring 2026. Finished with artist's professional UV satin varnish and wax.

Part of a small Autumn series 2026.
