Abandoned Quarry, Bradwell — Maurice Wade (1917–1991)

A quietly powerful landscape by one of the Potteries' most distinctive painters, Maurice Wade. This print captures the brooding stillness of an abandoned quarry at Bradwell — a subject that speaks to the industrial heritage and raw natural beauty of the region Wade spent his life documenting.

Published in 2026 by Petr Hajek with the kind permission of the Maurice Wade Estate, this print was released to accompany the landmark exhibition Maurice Wade: A Painter from No 57 at the Potteries Museum and Art Gallery (12 October 2023 – 26 January 2024).
