Stoke-on-Trent Six Towns One City Love our Mother Burslem Ceramic Mosaic by Philip Hardaker
Celebrate Stoke-on-Trent's six towns and The Mother Town of Burslem with this original framed ceramic word art by Philip Hardaker, made at his Stoke-on-Trent studio in 2026.
Two light blue and aqua glazed ceramic plaques bear the words “6 Towns Stoke Burslem Hanley Tunstall Fenton Longton One City” and "Love our Mother Burslem". They are surrounded by found vintage and hand-painted pottery shards in gold on white china, along with found glass mosaic tiles bringing together ceramic lettering and decorative fragments and glass in a tribute to the Potteries.
The work is presented in a reclaimed pine coloured frame with a bevelled shape and painted gold to the back. Ready to display as a wall hanging, it offers a compact celebration of the city's identity for a home or workspace.
