The Wedgwoods Love Our Mother Burslem is an original hand-modelled ceramic mosaic by Philip Hardaker, made at his Stoke-on-Trent studio in 2026. Bringing together Wedgwood portraits, lettering and decorative pottery fragments, it celebrates Burslem and the ceramic heritage of the Potteries.
An aqua-blue glazed ceramic arch features standing portraits of Josiah and Sarah Wedgwood above a plaque bearing the words “Love our Mother Burslem”. Broken pieces of orange, white and mint-green decorative pottery surround these elements, creating a layered composition with contrasting colours and textures.
Presented in a reclaimed, decorative silver wooden frame and ready to hang, this compact ceramic artwork offers a distinctive way to bring Burslem’s pottery heritage into your home.
