Beatles Statue 2015 Maquette Sculpture by Andy Edwards

The Beatles Statue bronze maquette sculpture by Andy Edwards 2015.

Titled: The Beatles Statue

From an idea by Chris Butler, owner of Castle Fine Arts Foundry, 7ft 6 inch figures were sculpted by Andy Edwards in his studio within The old Wedgwood Factory. The bronze work has become officially the UK’s most popular and visited statue. The now famous landmark which was installed on Liverpool’s UNESCO World Heritage waterfront in 2015 was unveiled by John Lennon’s sister Julia and notably visited by Paul McCartney for Carpool Karaoke in 2018. The original maquette was first exhibited at Liverpool’s International Business Festival and at Liverpool Town Hall in 2014. The work was purchased by The Cavern Club who also bought the full size statue as a gift to The City of Liverpool.

This is an artist’s proof cast of the working maquette as originally modelled at a quarter of lifesize, signed and certificated.
