Titled: Muhammad Ali Statue
Sculpted to commemorate the visit of Muhammad Ali to Stoke on Trent in 2009, a bronze cast was presented to The Greatest, which he took back to his home in Kentucky. The full-size bronze statue has been displayed in Doha, Qatar and The O2 in London. The work commemorates the rematch fight with Sonny Liston, May 25th 1965, in Maine, the moment that changed the boxer’s life and world history forever.
This is an artist’s proof cast of the working maquette originally modelled at a quarter of life size, signed with signed certification.
